For our next Staff Spotlight, we speak to Manj Johal who has recently joined Stimulus as a Project Manager.
10 years ago, what did you think you would be doing now?
10 years ago, I thought I would now be juggling family life and continuing a career in Project Management, progressing to Programme Manager or shifting to the Client Management side.
What quote do you live your life by?
Smiles are contagious and kindness is free.
What’s the one thing you couldn’t live without?
At the risk of sounding soppy, I couldn’t live without my family - especially my three cheerleaders and my lovely husband. Oh, not forgetting our mini lop house bunny, Lily!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with friends and family but also enjoy rare, quiet moments to myself to go for a run or walk. I love to laugh so a good comedy night is a must. I last saw Michael McIntyre a week before the first lockdown and now everything is thankfully reopening, I’m looking forward to seeing Ellie Taylor next.
What are you listening to/reading/watching at the moment?
I’m currently reading the Harry Potter books for the second time with my sons. I’m watching Bake Off and Strictly with my daughter which is a lovely thing to do together. I’ve just started watching the brilliant Schitt’s Creek (I’m watching it all over again, it’s that good)!
What’s your previous working experience?
After graduating university, I started working for Xerox as a Translation Project Coordinator and within a short time I became Translation Project Manager. I enjoyed 6 and a half years there before taking an extended hiatus to start a family.
What’s your favourite thing about life at Stimulus?
One week in, I can firmly say it’s the people I have met. The team are all very supportive, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Not to mention, good fun and welcoming!
What are you excited about during the next year at Stimulus?
I’m looking forward to the challenge of running projects again and being part of what I can already see is, a great team. I’m excited to learn more about Salesforce and all the different products on offer so I can expand my skill set and strengthen my contribution to Stimulus & Salesforce.
