What is Salesforce’s Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)?

The Nonprofit Success Pack or NPSP is the foundation of the Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud. It transforms our typical for-profit data model in Salesforce and adapts it to suit the needs of Nonprofits.

So, where a for-profit organisation would typically focus on sales and customers. Nonprofit organisations would focus on managing constituents, fundraising and grant-making.

So how does NPSP do this?

Quite simply it is a purpose-built app that sits on top of Salesforce’s Enterprise platform. If you take a step back to look at what this means, you’ll see that the same technology that can propel for-profit companies can help local and global Nonprofits have better collaboration across teams and geographies by removing data silos, gathering deeper insights, and tracking important metrics.

Also, it allows Nonprofits to be able to communicate better between internal staff, volunteers, donors, and service users/clients (depending on what the Nonprofit does).
